The exhibition "Antonello da Messina. Marco Delogu" proposes an original encounter between Renaissance painting and art photography. Marco Delogu reinterprets five iconic works by Antonello da Messina with as many black and white portraits, developing an intimate and powerful comparison on the theme of the gaze. Through calibrated shots and selective focus, Delogu creates new "re-portraits" that amplify the expressive power of the original paintings, generating a visual narrative that intertwines light, time and memory.

The itinerary is completed by six unpublished photographic works, which deepen the bond between observer, artist and portrayed subject. The project fits harmoniously into the spaces of the Galleria Regionale di Palazzo Bellomo, a place deeply connected to the history of the artist from Messina. An immersive and site-specific experience that invites us to rediscover the value of portraiture and to reflect on how art continues to speak to us, beyond the centuries and languages.
