After the success of the first edition of Facing the Camera, the catalog of the homonymous exhibition exhibited in New York, London, Toronto and Paris, the second edition is now ready to go to print, revised and enriched with new texts and new images. The volume, a reflection on the photographic portrait in Italy, which traces its contemporary history and styles, underlining its links and breaks with the tradition of painting and portraiture, is enriched in this second edition by the contribution of the philosopher Giorgio Agamben, who it joins those of Andrea Cortellessa, literary critic; Marco Delogu, photographer and curator of this work; and Francesco Zanot, curator.
Photographs by: Jacopo Benassi, Gianni Berengo Gardin, Lisetta Carmi, Tano D’Amico, Marco Delogu, Luigi Di Sarro, Fausto Giaccone, Guido Guidi, Antonia Mulas, Ugo Mulas, Francesco Neri, Luca Nostri, Sabrina Ragucci, Moira Ricci and Paolo Ventura.
